A passionate educator in her 39th year, Barbara has served in FISD for 27 years as a School Counselor and a Spanish Teacher. She was invited as keynote speaker for the National Forum on Character Education in DC. Barbara earned Rotary teacher of the year in 2014, the Bay Area Gem Award and has also led Westwood to the inaugural Texas State Character Award and the National School of Character Distinction.
