On the occasion of Pope John Paul II’s 50th anniversary to the priesthood, he invited to Rome all the priests of the world who were ordained the same year as him. Over 2,000 priests came to meet the Holy Father, to concelebrate a Mass and share in the thanksgiving and celebration week.
At the Wednesday audience of that week, the Holy Father blessed 165 monstrances which were subsequently dispersed to 20 different countries to be used to promote prayers for vocations in the presence of the Eucharist Lord held in these sacred vessels.
The Bay Area Serra Club has received permission to have this blessed monstrance available to the 15 parishes the club serves.
The traveling monstrance comes with a Holy Hour for Vocations Worship Guide and will be used during Adoration on March 26th and 27th. As St. Mother Teresa said: “it was not until we began our dail Holy Hour that our community started to grow and blossom.”
