Losing a loved one is often painful, difficult and traumatic. Everyone grieves in his or her own way but, during the holidays, feelings of loss are often even more pronounced. All are welcomed to attend the Ministry of Compassion’s monthly discussion on ‘Managing Grief Through the Holidays’.
Please join us on Sunday, December 16th at 1:00 p.m. in the Parish Center, Rooms 114/115. After watching a DVD, facilitator Dr. Venette Westhoven will focus on tips for coping with grief during the holidays.
Facilitator Venette Westhoven is a licensed psychologist with a private practice in Friendswood. She completed her B.A. at the University of Notre Dame, M.A. at the University of Dayton and Ph.D. at Loyola University of Chicago. Since moving to Texas 13 years ago, Venette has been providing therapy and psychological evaluations to her clients. Venette and her husband of 30 years, have three children. She is a parishioner at Mary Queen Church and has been very involved in many Ministries. …Amen
