The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is faith process involving a series of courses and liturgical rites culminating in reception of the sacraments and being welcomed fully into the Catholic Church.
RCIA is for adult Catholics:
• Who are in need of Confirmation.
• From other faiths who are baptized and seek full communion in the Church.
• Who are not baptized and seek to become Catholic.
• Who desire to study the faith of the Catholic Church.
RCIA is also for children over the age of 7 (RCIC) and those between 13 and 17 (RCIT). Mary Queen Catholic Church has a ministry dedicated to the spiritual and intellectual direction of those who desire to come into full communion with the Church or simply to learn more about the faith.
